The Power of Points: GCB Unveils Its Official Ranking System to Reward True Champions!

To bring structure to the competitive scene and highlight individual performances, Great Champions Battle is launching its official points system — designed to reward consistency, commitment, and excellence among players, both local and from the diaspora.

GCB Tournaments: The Elite Rewarded Based on the Scale of the Challenge

Two distinct scoring systems have been designed based on the number of participants, to maintain fair and competitive balance.

🔝 Large-Scale Tournament (more than 16 participants):
- 🥇 Champion: 100 pts
- 🥈 Finalist: 70 pts
- 🥉 3rd Place: 55 pts
- 4th Place: 50 pts
- Quarter-Finalists: 40 pts
- Round of 16: 25 pts
- Group Stage Eliminations: 10 pts

🎯 Smaller Tournament (up to 16 participants):
- 🥇 Champion: 80 pts
- 🥈 Finalist: 50 pts
- 🥉 3rd Place: 40 pts
- 4th Place: 30 pts
- Quarter-Finalists: 20 pts

⚔ Off-Tournament Duels: Every Battle Counts

Because every match matters, direct confrontations, free or with stakes, also contribute to the leaderboard.

🎮 Duels Without Stakes:
- Best of 10+: 15 pts (winner) / 5 pts (loser)
- Best of 5: 10 pts / 3 pts
- Best of 3: 7 pts / 2 pts

💸 Duels With Stakes (cash or items):
- Best of 10+: 30 pts / 10 pts
- Best of 5: 20 pts / 7 pts
- Best of 3: 15 pts / 5 pts

⚠ Wagering Ranking Points: When Your Spot Is on the Line

Competitors can now wager their own ranking points in high-stakes matches. In this case:

- ✅ The winner takes the opponent’s wagered points along with the win.
- ❌ The loser loses the amount of points they bet.

Important:

In this scenario, the standard points usually awarded for duels are cancelled. Only the transfer of wagered points is considered.

This rule increases the pressure and weight of every clash, where each point becomes a calculated gamble.

To ensure the balance and integrity of the rankings while maintaining a competitive dynamic, a point betting limit rule has been implemented for duels between competitors:

➡ Each player may wager up to 20% of their total points in a duel.

Example:
- A player with 300 points can wager a maximum of 60 points.
- A player with 120 points will be limited to a 24-point bet.

This limit helps preserve ranking stability against isolated results, encourages strategic point and risk management, protects progressing players from excessive losses, and maintains a healthy and fair competitive tension.

Duel Forfeits: Flexibility with Discipline

To balance competitive commitment with personal constraints, GCB allows each competitor to skip or reschedule up to two duels per month (forfeits).

However, a player cannot forfeit a duel against the same opponent for two consecutive months.

This rule ensures consistency in matchups, prevents strategic avoidance of certain players, and maintains the integrity of the points system while respecting individual availability.

A Ranking Without Borders

GCB proudly affirms that this ranking system includes players from the African diaspora, integrating talents from across the globe into a united and professional competitive landscape.

Will you rise to the Top 4? The Top 10? or remain in the shadows?

The system is live, transparent, progressive, and earned. From now on, players will be measured not by talk, but by results.

Welcome to an era where every victory counts.
